The Kali Zor Association organized a five days long Youth Exchange Program between September 20th and 25th, in Barcelona. The participants of the exchange program arrived from three different countries, namely Albania, Romania and Hungary. We used the first day to get to know each other and we started to work together on the issue of Roma identity and its definition. The lecture of José Antonio Moréno closed our first day, from which we learnt the ratio of the prejudice against the Roma internationally, and the educational opportunities of the local Roma also.
Thanks to two Catalan directors, we created a play from those stories which we collected the previous day together with all the participants and individually also, connected to our Roma identity. The main parts of the play were the importance of education, the introduction of personal life stories and the encouragement of the students to study. The volunteers of the Kali Zor Association thought that it would be important to see that quarter of Barcelona, where most of the Roma are living, so we went to a tour to Sant Roc. During the tour we had the chance to visit the school, where we played the performance later on. At the day of the performance that we played twice for two groups, every actor were nervous and hopeful about that the children will be satisfied. Fortunately the students were interested in the play and our success was shown by the great applause.
At the last night we gave feedback to the volunteers of the association in order to help them to do it even better next time. Lately we finished our week in Barcelona with a fantastic Manu Chao concert!

A Kali Zor Egyesület egy ötnapos nemzetközi ifjúsági tábort szervezett Barcelonába szeptember 20-tól 25-ig, amelyre három országból érkeztek fiatalok, méghozzá Albániából, Romániából és Magyarországról. Az első napot rövid ismerkedéssel indítottuk, majd bele is vágtunk a közös munkába, amely során kis csoportokban beszélgettünk és gondolkodtunk a roma identitás definíciójával kapcsolatos kérdésekről. A napot José Antonio Moréno előadása zárta, melyből megtudhattuk, hogy a romákkkal kapcsolatos előítéletek a különböző országokban mennyire számottevőek, valamint megismerhettük a romák oktatásának helyi sajátosságait.
A közösen és egyénileg megfogalmazott cigányságunkhoz köthető történetekből és állításokból később egy színdarabot állítottunk össze két katalán rendezőnő segítségével. A színdarab központi témái az oktatás fontossága, az egyéni életutak bemutatása, illetve a gyerekek továbbtanulásra való ösztönzése voltak.
A Kali Zor Egyesület önkéntesei fontosnak tartották, hogy Spanyolország romák által lakott negyedébe is ellátogassunk, így egy kisebb túrára indultunk Sant Roc-ba. A séta alkalmával lehetőségünk nyílt a helyi általános iskolába is bejutni, ahol később a színdarabot is előadtuk. Az előadás napján, amikor is két csoportnak adtuk elő a közösen összeállított performanszunkat, minden szereplő nagy izgalommal várta, hogy a helyi gyerekek hogyan fogják értékelni az előadást. A sikert mi sem mutatta jobban, minthogy a gyerekek érdeklődve figyeltek és a végén vastapssal jutalmazták a szereplésünket. Az utolsó este egy feedback (visszajelzés) keretein belül közösen fogalmaztuk meg a fejlesztendőket a jövőre nézve, hogy a program sikeresebb lehessen. A hetet végül egy fantasztikus Manu Chao koncerttel zártuk!
