A Phiren Amenca és a Mózes ház, Mashkar Kehilot projektének keretén belül rendezte meg a Cigánysábeszt. A program célja a kultúrák közötti egyetértés megtalálása. A program alaphangja a flamenco volt, mely kötődik roma és zsidó közösséghez is, és a teljes emberre hatást gyakorol: viselkedésében, életfelfogásában, öltözködésében, szerep-mintáiban, teljes valójában érzékelhető hatása, ahogy mi és érezhettük és láthattuk Bucsás Györgyi és csapatának előadásában. 
A flamenco után megtartottuk a rendhagyó sábátot, azért ünnepeljük, mert a Jóisten ugye a maga képére teremtette az embert, így az embernek is meg kell pihennie a hetedik napon, mint ahogy ezt Ő tette a teremtés hat napja után. Szombaton semmi munkát nem szabad végezni és semmi olyan cselekedetet végrehajtani, ami munkavégzéshez vezet. Még fényképezni sem szabad, mert az is munka, hisz létrehozunk általa valamit. De ugyanígy rólunk sem készíthet fényképet senki szombaton, mert ezzel hozzájárulnánk a munkavégzéshez. A sábesz minden héten péntek naplementével kezdődik és szombat alkonyatig tart.
Mivel nem szabad főzni szombaton, az ételeket előre kell elkészíteni. A szervezők hagyományos cigány ételt készítettek: csirkepaprikást és bodagot. A vacsorát áldással kezdtük, amit borra mondott el a házigazda, amit gitáron kísért Juhász Tamás és Oláh Ferenc. Ezt követően a barcheszre mondtunk áldást (Fonott kalács tulajdonképpen). A barcheszt le kell takarni és úgy mondani az áldást. Az áldás elmondása utána mindenki evett egy kis darabot belőle.
Ezután vacsora majd az este további része kötetlen módon zajlott.

Moishe House Budapest and Phiren Amenca organized the Romani Shabat event in the framework of the Mashkar Kehilot project. The program aimed to facilitate inter-cultural dialogue and mutual understanding between the two minorities. It started with a Flamenco workshop, which is rooted in medieval Romani and Jewish cultures in Spain. Györgyi Bucsás and her team lead that part of the evening – we could feel and experience ourselves the magic of Flamenco.
After the workshop, we started the Shabat evening prayer – which aims to remind ourselves the importance of Shabat in Jewish tradition: men need to rest on the seventh day, as God also rested after creating the Universe. On Shabat, religious Jews avoid working, or acts that might lead to working – even including taking photos, according to the stricter, orthodox interpretation of the Jewish law. Shabat starts on Friday sunset and lasts until Saturday sunset.
According to Jewish traditions, Shabat meals should be prepared before Shabat: the organizers cooked traditional Roma dishes, such as” chicken paprikas” and „bodag”. We started the dinner with blessings over wine, accomanied by guitar (Tamas Juhasz and Ferenc Olah). It was followed by the blessings over the barches – which is a special kind of bread. It had to be covered by a cloth, and then it needs to be distributed among the people. The rest of the evening was spent with mingling and informal networking between the Roma and Jewish participants.
