Genocide, Mass Violence and International Justice after 1919
Between 27-29 August 2021 at the European Academy in Berlin, Germany will take place the international conference titled “Genocide, Mass Violence and International Justice after 1919”.
The conference brings together historians from a number of universities and institutions across Europe, the United States, Turkey and Armenia and it aims to examine European history after 1919 from a new perspective, organized in four main panels:
- “Post-Versailles Europe”,
- “Remembrance, Trauma and Denialism”,
- “International Justice and Human Rights” and
- “Atrocities against Civilians and the Rise of Humanitarian Movements”.
The conference will be streamed LIVE for online participants upon registration.

This conference is organized by the Armenian General Benevolent Union – Europe as part of the ” Ideas & their Consequences: Genocide and International Justice after 1919″ project funded by Europe for Citizens Programme, where Phiren Amenca is a partner together with the European Union of Jewish Students – EUJS and Leipsius Hause Potsdam.
