I am 23, and I was living and studying in Budapest till the end of this August. I finished my BA studies in Sociology at the Corvinus University of Budapest this year, meanwhile I was working and volunteering in different places. I am working with children, since I was 15, both in free time activities and scholar environment. I had the opportunity to work different amount of children, with different age, and different background. I am also dancing, and playing music, and I am interested in cities, and the role of the buildings, and their relations to the citizens.
I decided to do a voluntary year in 2017, because I wanted to have something else after 16 years of studying, I wanted to experience learning in a different way, such as language, or other skills, and I also wanted to leave my comfort zone at home.
At the moment I am in Strasbourg working with children between 10-12 years in a secondary school, as a member of the animator team. The children are with us when they don’t have classes – in the breaks, and free times during the day. We propose them games, and other occupations, and also give them the opportunity to work in a calm area.
This year for me is not about learning how to handle children, because I already have a lot of experiences, it is more about learning French, and getting new motivations, and impressions. I try to grab every opportunity to discover new things, new places and new people, in order to find out my future life and profession.

23 éves vagyok, Budapesten éltem, és tanultam születésemtől egészen augusztus végéig. Nyáron fejeztem be a Budapesti Corvinus Egyetem szociológia alapszakját, emellett dolgoztam, és több helyen önkénteskedtem az elmúlt években. Alapvetően gyerekekkel foglalkozom 15 éves korom óta, szabadidős és iskolai környezetben egyaránt, eltérő nagyságú csoportokban, különböző korú és hátterű gyerekekkel. Emellett zenélek és táncolok kiskorom óta, és nagyon érdekel a város, az épületek, a szerepük és a viszonyuk a benne élőkkel.
Tavaly határoztam úgy, hogy az alapszak után egy évet külföldön töltök majd, szerettem volna valami mást csinálni 16 év iskolai tanulás után, máshogyan sajátítani el dolgokat, nyelvet, készségeket, és kicsit szerettem volna elhagyni az otthon kényelmes buborékját is.
Jelenleg Strasbourgban dolgozom 10-12 éves gyerekekkel, egy általános iskolában, az animátor csapat tagjaként. A gyerekek alapvetően mindig velünk vannak, amikor nincs órájuk – a szünetekben, és a lyukasórákban – ilyenkor különböző játékokat, elfoglaltságokat kínálunk nekik, és lehetőséget biztosítunk a nyugodt tanulásra is.
Mivel elég sok tapasztalatom van gyerekekkel, így ez az év nekem alapvetően a nyelvtanulásról, motivációgyűjtésről szól. Igyekszem minden lehetőséget megragadni, hogy új helyeket, dolgokat, embereket ismerjek meg, ötleteket merítsek ahhoz, hogy mit is szeretnék majd foglalkozásszerűen csinálni.
