On September 16. 2019, the Commission organised regular consultation meeting with the Civil Society and International Partners of the year. The meeting brought together a big number of participants both from the Roma and Pro-Roma Civil Society and representatives as other European institutions and international partners, including Phiren Amenca and ternYpe International Roma Youth Networks.
The discussions ranged from exchanges on latest relevant developments both from the European Commission side and from the Civil Society, to specific presentations on funding opportunities made available by several DGs (DG JUST, DG EMPL, DG EAC and DG ECFIN), such us direct funding or institutional partnership framework programs. The last Agenda point, offered an insight to a specific example by a good practice in education, in the Czech Republic.
In the first part of the meeting, the Commission informed about the 2019 Communication Report, the 1 October Workshop and Commissioner Jourova’s participation in the 2 August Holocaust Commemoration Ceremony.
On a regular tour du table exchange participants could share their feedbacks and address their questions.
