Georgina Laboda, director of the Phiren Amenca board joined the European Youth Forum Council of Members meeting between November 22-23. 2019. in Amiens, France.
Phiren Amenca’s membership application to the European Youth Forum have been submitted in 2019as we believe there is an important need for Roma youth networks to be visible in the biggest European youth umbrella organization.
The European Youth Forum is the largest youth-led organisation in Europe and the world, representing 106 national and international youth organisations from all across Europe. They make the voice of millions of young people heard by the European Union, the Council of Europe and the United Nations. They purpose is to empower young people to participate actively in society by advocating for their interests and striving for their rights.
The Council of Members is the occasion for their Member Organisations (including associated and obeserver members) to come together to discuss, debate and agree on what the forum needs to do together to improve the lives of young people in Europe. The Council of Members is also the opportunity for representatives from organisations working for and with young people that are not members of the European Youth Forum to promote how they fight for youth rights every day.
