My name is Jessica Genova, and I’m 30 years old from Italy.
I am passionate about Human Rights, Health, and International Cooperation. I have deepened these themes in the academic field, thanks to my Masters in Human Rights, Humanitarian Emergency, and Global Health, as well as various field experiences in Tanzania, the Turkish-Syrian border, the West Bank, India, Turkey, Bulgaria, and Kenya.
My interest in Human Rights and International Cooperation, on the one hand, and my curiosity for “new worlds” on the other, led me to volunteer in Nicaragua.
So, after two years of anti-Covid restrictions in Italy, I’m back to travel and to explore new cultures and realities. I hope to learn a lot from this experience and be able to give something back through my knowledge and skills gained over the years.
Now all I have to do is learn, explore and enjoy Nicaragua!
Jessica is a Phiren Amenca volunteer in Nicaragua, hosted by Fundacion Marijn and sent by CSD Diaconia Valdese, within the Erasmus+ KA2 Capacity building for Youth project “My Story of Resistance- from exclusion to active participation”.
