Hi everybody! My name is Melinda Szabó. I am 28, from Romania from a Hungarian family. I graduated with a major in psychology in 2008 in Timişoara, and have been doing a bit of work in the social field.  Now I choose the challenge of EVS in Budapest for 1 year.

In my opinion, international voluntary service is a great opportunity to meet new people from different cultures, and to work with people dedicated to their work who may stimulate your interest for various things. In a word, you may meet people that you could learn a lot from. It is a chance to improve skills and the ability to talk in other languages. Now is the time to travel and to be independent.

When I arrived here I found a new life. I had to deal with things I have never done before.  That makes me feel happy and proud in the same time. Now is the moment to find out how far can I go![quote style=”boxed” float=”right”] International voluntary service is a great opportunity to meet new people from different cultures, and to work with people dedicated to their work who may stimulate your interest for various things. I chose EVS at Phiren Amenca, because I found myself at a point in life which I felt was right for beginning something new. So EVS seemed to me a very good option to do that. I mean, you never know where this road might take you.

We organise info days for people who might be interested in EVS, international seminars and all kind of activities for Roma and non-Roma youngsters using non-formal education. In free time we travel around the country and visit attractive places. We don’t have time to rest or to get bored, that’s for sure!

I highly recommend that everybody apply for EVS, because everyone deserve a fantastic experience at least once in life and, this decision might open a new chapter in your life. As I said, YOU  NEVER  KNOW …
