This resistance story is coming from Salomeea, a young Roma girl from Romania who encourages all young Roma girls to be confident and stay strong:
“My name is Salomeea, I am part of E-Romnja. Today is Romani Resistance Day and my message to all Roma girls is to be confident, do not go along with their parents, and get married as little girls, because they are tormented and traumatized. Be confident, girls, and stay as strong as you can.”
