We are glad to announce that we still have some inspirational resistance stories from Roma youth! One of them is coming from Mădalin who is a young Roma boy from Romania. He joined the ‘Voices of Resistance’ campaign to show that Roma together can resist any attack. Listen to his story:
“Hello! I am Mădălin, I am part of the Roma with Initiative group within the association E-Romnja. May 16th is Romani Resistance Day and for me Romani Resistance Day means that we should be in solidarity and that we can overcome racism and violence. Together we are stronger. I joined this campaign to show that we Roma are strong, resilient, in solidarity, and that we resist any attack.”
The ‘Voices of Resistance’ online campaign invites every young Roma to testify their own resistance stories! Through this online campaign we want to empower young Roma people to share their good examples of staying active in such difficult times of crisis as well.
