Hi,
I am Laci, 24 years old. I finished my studies in secondary school 3 years ago. I heard about the Erasmus+ Programme at my school. In 2016 I participated in a short term project in Turkey. Our job was helping and protecting the sea turtles and cleaning the beach.
After my short term project we moved to Sopron. I found there a job in my profession. I worked as a shop salesperson for 2 years.
During these 2 years I participated in many youth projects in Turkey and I also looked for a long term project. I sent my CV and my motivation letter to many organizations, but they didn’t write back or they found other volunteers, so I was disappointed.
Later I found a Facebook post: „Phiren Amenca is looking for a volunteer to India”. I sent my CV and motivation letter for them. After few weeks I got an email, the indian organization wants to talk with me on Skype. They chose me for the volunteering!
So now I am in India, at Bangalore until September. I am volunteering with the Student Christian Movement of India. Our job is working with refugee children, teaching them English and playing with them. At afternoons we have English classes.
Why I chose this project?
First of all I want to improve my English knowledge. After this project I want to study at university or college. I love challenges, I love to learn more from new cultures, meet with new people.

Lacinak hívnak, 24 éves vagyok. 3 éve fejeztem be a közepsulit és ott hallottam először az Erasmus+ Programról. 2016-ban részt is vettem egy rövid távú, 2 hónapos EVS projekten Törökországban, ahol teknősöket kellett menteni és tengerpartot takarítani.
A rövid távú projekt után Sopronba költöztünk es sikerült állást találnom a szakmámban. 2 évig eladóként dolgoztam.
Ezalatt a 2 év alatt részt vettem Törökországban jópár ifjúsági projekten, de azert keresgéltem, hogy milyen hosszútávú lehetőségek lennének. Több helyre elküldtem az önéletrajzom és a motivációs levelem, de csak csalódasok értek: vagy nem írtak vissza, vagy találtak más önkéntest.
Időközben találtam egy Facebook bejegyzést, hogy Indiába keresnek önkénteseket, így hát felvettem a kapcsolatot a Phiren Amencá-val. Elküldtem az önéletrajzom és motivációs levelem. Később jött egy email, hogy az indiai szervezet szeretne Skype interjút. Kiválasztottak önkéntesnek.-
Jelenleg Indiában vagyok önkéntes 9 honapig a Student Christian Movement-nél, Bangaloreban. 1 hónapja menekült gyerekekhez jarunk, angolul tanítjuk őket es játszunk velük. Délutanonként pedig angol tanárhoz.
Miért jelentkeztem?
Elsősorban az angol tudásomat szeretném fejleszteni, es a projekt után szeretnék továbbtanulni egyetemen vagy főiskolán. Szeretem a kihívásokat, szeretek megismerni új kultúrakat, új embereket.
